The MEINDL "Rebel" motorcycle jacket is made of kangaroo leather. This is considered very tear-resistant and can be processed thinner and lighter than cowhide while maintaining equal stability. With an average thickness of 1 millimeter, however, it is almost twice as resistant to cowhide (1.2-1.4 mm), absorbs only half as much water and is 50 percent more tear-resistant. The "Rebel" feels light and soft to wear. Sizing is rather generous so if in doubt, you might want to size down.
