Smart Helmets

Smart helmets either come with a fully integrated communication system from the factory or are pre-equipped with dedicated cable channels and pockets for the subsequent integration of communication systems. With these systems, also known as headsets, riders can take calls, listen to music, or communicate with other riders without having to take their smartphone out of their pocket. Smart helmets are equipped with a microphone, two speakers, and an intercom unit with a battery. They are operated via button control units on the helmet or through voice commands. Depending on the technology used in the communication systems, the maximum range between connected participants, the number of participants, as well as the talk time and charging duration may vary. Helmets featuring a Head-Up Display (HUD) also belong to the category of smart helmets.
